The lowdown on where to get a glass or two...
Here are our recommendations for our favourite apres spots and bars for a post-dinner drink in your resort.
Getting around in Val d'Isere is easy with the free buses and on foot.
In the Courchevel Valley you can access all the different levels by bus - check the timetable in your chalet. The buses between Le Praz and La Tania are less regular but not prohibitively so.

The Fall Line A friendly bar with WiFi, sky sports and DJs in the evening.
Moris Pub The best venue in Val for live music. Acoustic sets and live bands most days for après ski. See the infamous local band Mullit on Tuesdays and Fridays. www.morispub.com
Bananas Sadly this famous bar had a fire in December 2011. Since then they've bounced back and still a great spot for après drinks.
Le “XV” Popular with the locals and ski instructors. As the name suggests, a great place to watch the rugby!
Pacific Bar Full Sky Sports, pool table, WiFi access. The main spot in town to watch all Premiership football action. Open from 5pm, earlier on selected match days.
Victor's A very cool, chic Scandinavian cocktail bar and restaurant. Happy Hour is 20.00 – 23.00 – 2 for 1 cocktails!
Le Petit Danois (The Little Danish!) Buzzing atmosphere with live music for après ski. This infamous bar is open until 02.00am, with a free shot with every drink between 4pm & 7pm.
Dick's Tea Bar Legendary club, open until the early hours of the morning. You must try to pay them a visit at least once during the week!
Saloon Bar Very popular, especially for the younger crowd; it is located at the bottom of the main piste area with a lively atmosphere.
Blue Note The home of Le Ski Welcome drinks! A locals’ favourite, with babyfoot, free après nibbles and happy hour 3pm-5pm. Also possibly the best hot chocolates in town.
Folie Douce This infamous bar on the piste knows how to do apres! Dancing in ski boots is easier than it sounds...
Cafe Face Well known as the next bar for the party from the Folie Douce, happy hour from 4pm.
Cocorico – Formerley 'The Chalet', this great little bar right on the edge of the pistes is excellent for apres with a great terrace and live music most days. Just off the Rond Point des Pistes above the Doudoune nightclub.
A relaxed apres and wine bar, with French vibes located a sort walk from the Cacholet chalets with live music. Also a great atmosphere from 9pm onwards.
La Boulotte A small atmospheric pub next to the Table de Marie. Great value for money, serves lovely hot lunches and has live music at après time most nights of the week. Great vin chaud and hot chocolate, and you can even get non-French wine! The infamous local favourite Mutzig is also sold here.
Le Funky Fox Pub has live bands playing several nights a week creating a great atmosphere and one of the only places to dance when the time is right. Open until the early hours and serving carry out pizzas and chips to 4am, it is sure to provide a lively night out. Le Funky Fox is located at the top of the main street on the left hand side.
Fire and Ice A smart terrace bar on the right hand side as you reach the bottom of the slopes into 1650. Decent happy hour/apres prices when you consider the free nibbles. Smart finishing touches such as cosy blankets to snuggle into!
Le Schuss An attractive, cosy bar open from 10h00 until midnight. Popular with French locals and our guests! They also have Mutzig on the menu.
Saint Louis (Bar 1226) This hotel bar has a nice terrace and sometimes live music for apres. The only place in 1850 selling Mutzig!
Le Kudeta (Previously Kalico’s) A French bar and nightclub on the piste by the Forum, it is also a decent restaurant at lunchtime. Prices rise once the club opens. Regular DJs play until the early hours.
L'Escorchevel Serves food from 3pm and once service is over there are often live bands playing. The dancefloor gets pretty sweaty so the vodka slush drinks are popular!
The Drop Inn On the road out of town, this bar is popular for the decent prices and lively atmosphere. Wine Wednesdays offer a good international selection from €3 all day.
Les Peupliers This hotel bar has a nice outside seating area. Quite pricey but that's because it's quite smart!
Folie Douce This infamous alpine chain arrived in Meribel last year with a bang. Definitely one for the 'things to do' list if you like the sound of a dancefloor with views.
Le Chrome Bar With a nice sunny terrace close to the piste, this bar is popular at apres.
Pub Le Ski Lodge The largest pub in the village gets very busy at apres and when bands are playing. Buzzy atmosphere and decent lunches on the huge terrace.
Taiga Also a popular restaurant for thursday evening, the bar underneath is small but cosy. Regular live music but arrive early as it gets very busy!
