Chalet Raoul is number 1 on this map
Tignes is without doubt one of France's best ski areas, combining its own high-altitude skiing with tree-lined pistes down to Les Boisses and Les Brevières. Not only that, it's so easy to pop over the mountain into the Val d'Isère domain, meaning that there are over 300km of skiing across the whole area. With a world-leading lift system to boot!
Chalet Raoul is in a ski in/ski out position in Tignes Les Boisses at 1830m and the gondola is just a short ski or walk away that whisks you up into the Glattier area. From here, you can either take the new 6-person Marais chairlift towards the Aiguille Percée or the recent Aiguille Rouge chair that delivers you to easy blues and cruisy reds.
Complete beginners would be best to take the bus to Tignes Le Lac where there are good facilities with our partner ski school, Evolution 2.
Intermediates skiers and boarders of all levels will enjoy the array of wide, open pistes, especially down from the glacier and there is a huge opportunity for off-piste for experts.
