Chalet Kanjiroba - Val d'isere

TOP QUALITY CHALET FOR 10 GUESTS

FILL BEAUTIFUL KANJIROBA AND GET HALF A FREE PLACE

Top quality build standards, beautiful reclaimed wood, funky (and comfortable!) furniture, VI sprung beds, duck feather duvets...nothing has been left to chance in Kanjiroba. The lounge has a 55 inch Freesat TV with British channels and internet access, plus DVD Blu Ray player. Most bedrooms have 42 inch TVs with the same Freesat channels. There is also an integrated Sonos system so you can play music from your igadgets...

Chalet Kanjiroba was added to our programme for the 2014-15 season but is in fact one of the oldest properties in Val d'Isere, dating back to the 1700s. It sits next to another Le Ski chalet, Maison d'Angelique, on a quiet lane in La Daille, just 3 minutes walk from the lifts.

Chalet Kanjiroba is named after the 6883 metre high mountain in western Nepal where the owners spent their honeymoon...one of our more interesting names! Kanjiroba occupies a substantial section of a very large building. It has its own separate entrance and is entirely self-contained. With well over 200m2 for only 10 guests, Chalet Kanjiroba is extremely spacious, classy and comfortable and has become a firm favourite with Le Ski regulars.

The new owners of Kanjiroba were determined to make this an extremely smart chalet and they have indeed succeeded...

Chalet Kanjiroba is number 9 on this map

Val d’Isère is a dramatic resort with an excellent lift system. There are easy links to Tignes which make it a huge skiing area, renowned for challenging skiing and vast off-piste areas.

This is not to say that novices are overlooked – they can warm up on the free ‘Village’ drag, then opt for the ‘Ski Tranquille’ area around Borsat.

More experienced skiers should try out ‘Criterium’ in La Daille, venturing to ‘Mattis’ in the trees during snowy weather.

A trip over to Tignes is simple and quick and opens up all manner of options for skiing and sampling the vin chaud! Advanced skiers will enjoy the challenge of speeding down La Face (the Olympic downhill in 1992) at the end of the day.

Those who have come to sample the famous powder have almost unlimited options - take a professional guide...
