New to Le Ski for the coming season, it is far easier to describe this pretty, detached, chalet than it is to pronounce its name in French! Ecureuil des Neiges (pronounced “ay-cue-roy-day-nej”) to give it its full name (literally meaning Snow Squirrel in English) is another classic Alpine chalet with a pitched slate roof and a wonderful mix of local stone and wood, both internally and externally. Its office nickname is Squirrel so please feel free to call it that when booking!
The chalet’s spacious, warm and cosy top floor lounge area has a double height wooden ceiling with French windows opening onto the South-West facing balcony. From here you can admire the wonderful views of the Courchevel valley – perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of pre-dinner Le Ski Champagne and canapés! The charming owners have decorated the chalet beautifully with artwork, photos and cushions creating a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. There is also a very practical and well-equipped ski room.
Ecureuil des Neiges is a very versatile chalet which suits groups of 8 to 10 guests. There are 5 bedrooms in total, 4 of which are ensuite. The dining table would be tight for 10 adults so we recommend the 9th and 10th beds for children who would have an early dinner. Feel free to call us to discuss your group’s needs and we can run through the chalet with you.
Located in a peaceful spot six minutes’ walk below the village, the chalet is also close to the escalator which arrives straight into the village centre. The lifts and shops can also be accessed by bus if you prefer. The amazing Aquamotion is just a short walk down the hill. It sits very near to our Premier de Cordée, Notus and Bisolet chalets.
