Chalet Mire - Val d'Isere

ANOTHER STUNNING BRAND NEW CHALET FOR 6 GUESTS

CHALET MIRE IS IN THE SAME BUILDING AS THE BEAUTIFUL CHALET AZEL. THE PICTURES SHOWN HERE ARE OF CHALET AZEL - MIRE IS FINISHED TO THE SAME EXTREMELY HIGH STANDARDS.

We are so pleased to announce yet another new property in Val d'Isere, Chalet Mire. It is the brainchild of the same family who built our most beautiful chalets, La Belle Etoile and Azel. Mire lies below Belle Etoile, near the eponymous river Isere, and is a very short walk from the bus stop which will take you either to La Daille or the Bellevarde Express.

Chalet Mire is completed externally but not internally. It will be finshed for summer 2025, way in advance of next winter. It will be finished to the highest possible standards. The whole family have worked on the chalet themselves and they've also designed and built it in an environmentally friendly fashion - as far as is possible in the Alps.

The trees which had to be chopped down to make way for the chalet have been used throughout the building - some  are window sills, some are exterior cladding, etc. There is an air source heat pump which uses already heated air to help heat the water. The family also plant new trees every year to replace those felled. All in all it's a pretty cool chalet!

The enormous and extremely comfortable lounge and dining areas have a welcoming log fireplace and huge picture windows on 3 sides as well as a large terrace. Everything about Chalet Mire is top quality, from the triple glazing to the fixtures and fittings to the beds and pillows.

All the bedrooms are spacious and have their own ensuite bathroom with walk in shower and separate wc. There is a hot tub and sauna in the ground floor spa area and a heated boot room and a ski store.

Chalet Mire is situated on the opposite side of the road to our own Cacholet chalets and it's a 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop which takes you to the main lifts.

Chalet Mire is number 13 on this map

Val d’Isère is a dramatic resort with an excellent lift system. There are easy links to Tignes which make it a huge skiing area, renowned for challenging skiing and vast off-piste areas.

This is not to say that novices are overlooked – they can warm up on the free ‘Village’ drag, then opt for the ‘Ski Tranquille’ area around Borsat.

More experienced skiers should try out ‘Criterium’ in La Daille, venturing to ‘Mattis’ in the trees during snowy weather.

A trip over to Tignes is simple and quick and opens up all manner of options for skiing and sampling the vin chaud! Advanced skiers will enjoy the challenge of speeding down La Face (the Olympic downhill in 1992) at the end of the day.

Those who have come to sample the famous powder have almost unlimited options - take a professional guide...
