New Year is on it's way

We hope you all had a very merry Christmas, we are looking forward to welcoming our guests for New Year week who will be arriving tomorrow. Here we take a look at what activities our resorts are putting on for your entertainment during the week:
Courchevel
All Week
Light In Courchevel, Courchevel 1850 Place du Rocher
Between 18.00 and 22.00 every half hour there will be a 7 minute light display highlighting what makes Courchevel special.
28th December
Welcome drinks, Place du Bachal, Courchevel Moriond
Courchevel Moriond invites you to join them for their weekly welcome drinks at the Place du Bachal which is just at the top of the escalators by the bakery, stop off for a quick mulled wine or hot chocolate on your way to join our GSMs and RSA at the Le Ski welcome drinks in L'Alambic.
30th December
Ice Skating gala, Patinoire - 1850
A show combining ice-skating, magic and fire, it starts at 18.00 and lasts for an hour and a half, tickets are €15 for children and €20 for adults for unnumbered seats, numbered seats are €30 each call 0479081950 or email patinoire@marie-courchevel.com
30th December
Verdons by Night, verdons slope Courchevel
Night skiing on the Verdons piste from 6pm until 8pm, free with a 6 day 3 Valley pass or €8 with a Courchevel pass.
30th December
Adventures of the little king, Salle Polvalente Courchevel Moriond
A special show for children with balloons and songs, starts at 18.30, free but need to collect an invitation at the tourist office.
31st December
Dance party, snowfront Courchevel 1850
From 10.30pm uuntil 2.30am join the dance party on the snow with DJ Lasse. There will also be a fantastic fireworks display at midnight to see in 2016 in style! Alternativey if you don't want to bus up to 1850 you can also see the fireworks display from the snowfront in Courchevel Moriond too.
2nd January
Ski Jumping French Cup, Le Praz
From 17.00 watch the French ski cup on the 90m Olympic ski jump in Le Praz, there will be competition for Seniors, Under 17s and Ladies.
Val D'Isere
29th December
Torchhhlight Descent & Fireworks display, bottom of Bellevarde
From 6pm head along to the bootom of Bellevarde to watch the French ski instructors put on their ski show, includes a torchlight descent and fireworks along with free mulled wine or hot chocolate.
30th December
Gospel Concert, Val D'Isere church
An hour and a half long Gospel concert is being put on by the group 'Enjoy Gospel' in Val D'Isere church from 6pm, tickets are €17 or €14 for under 14s. Enjoy Gospel offer a subtle blend of Negro spiritual music and more modern gospel sounds, songs include Amazing Grace, Happy day, Free by Stevie Wonder and His eye is on the sparrow from the film Sister Act.
31st December
New Years eve Airstar Night Light, Olympique Avenue & Tourist Office Square.
A colourful new version of val d'Isere's traditional pedestrian evening, there will be illuminations by Airstar in the tourist office square and main street (the main road will be closed to traffic between the 2 roundabouts from 6pm until 7.30pm). Music and DJ with Lady's Symphonie in the tourist office square, look out for the giant snow sculptures along the main street, there will be a sound and light show from Umbrella and Astro Diva along with an ice carving demonstration by Sebastien Cohendet in Margherio square. There will also be complimentary mulled wine or hot chocoalate being served in the tourist office square.

Live music from longtime local band Bring your Sisters, only go if you don't mind getting hot and sweaty!
Monday 28th December
Night Skiing, Troika
From 4.40 until 6pm the Troika lift will be open for free night skiing on the Troika piste.
JRBB, Chrome Bar
Live music from JRRB playing a chilled set from 4.30pm
Les Deux Roux, Ski Lodge
DJs Les Deux Roux will be at the Ski Lodge from 10pm
Tuesday 29th December
Bowling luge, resort centre
Fun for the kids from 5-6pm
Maybugs, Ski lodge
Covers band Maybgs will be playing live from 10pm in the Ski Lodge.
Wednesday 30th December
Killerbeez, Ski Lodge
Live music for Apres at the Ski Lodge with the Killerbeez band.
Al Jones, Taiga
Live music from 10pm with Al Jones.
Thursday 31st December
Bring Your Sisters, Ski Lodge
Start the evening off with live music for Apres at 5pm from Bring Your Sisters
Lanterns descent for children
Register at the tourist office for your children to take part in the New Years Eve Lanterns descent at 5.10pm
Torchlight descent & mulled wine
From 5.30pm watch the local ski instructors come down folyeres in their torchlight descent, there will also be complimentary mulled wine or hot chocolate at the bottom of the piste.
DJ Snow Party
from 10.30pm until 2.30am join the party in resort centre at midnight there will be a fantastic fireworks display to see in the New Year!
Friday 1st January
Dutch Courage, Ski Lodge
Enjoy live music for Apres at 5pm with Dutch Courage in the Ski Lodge.
