Downton Abbey returns to our screens from Sunday 21^st September, which can only mean one thing – what I hear you say “Lady Mary needs to choose between her many suitors?” We’re sure she probably will but more importantly it means winter is well and truly on her way!

Season 5 is set in 1924, which also happens to be the year of the first ever Winter Olympic Games held in Chamonix.  We've been wondering if any of the Downton characters will be making an appreance at the games?

Perhaps Lady Cora & Lord Robert will enter the pairs’ figure skating?

Or instead of the usual Downton cricket team maybe they’ll get together a Downton curling team?

As much as winter sport in that era was for the upper classes, maybe  Carson, Bates, Thomas & Jimmy will get together to compete in the bobsleigh? After all anyone can ride a large sledge - can't they?
