Guided tour of Val d’Isere

Tourist Office - 5€
Hear the tale of how a small village grew into an internationally famous ski resort; take a guided tour around the old town of Val d’Isere featuring the Moris house, Baroque church and contemporary architecture. Tour last around an hour and a half.

Scara Party
Tuesday 4th –  7th April, 16:00 – 22:00, Slalom Stadium
Created nearly 30 years ago, the 
Scara race is an International Alpine Ski Race for children. Historically, it was an event for children from Val d’Isere and other local ski clubs but increasing numbers of entrants resulted in the race organisers reviewing the race format and registering the race on the International calendar. La Sacara is now considered in the ski world as the “Childrens World Championships” and is now used as qualification to national level. https://youtu.be/frprIM9xkrE.
 
Airboarding
Wednesday 5th April, 16:45 – 19:00, Savonette Piste - Free
Try
sledging face first down the flood-lit Savonette slope in the center of Val d’Isere on these specially designed airboards. Steer by shifting your weight and experience a weight flight over the snow. Free and open to all, children must be over 9 years old and accompanied by an adult.
 
Backstage in Val d’Isere
Thursday 6th April, 15:45 – 16:45, Solaise ski pass office – Free
Come backstage in Val d’Isere to see what really goes on behind the scenes; you can find out how artificial snow is made and visit the machine room. Check out how artificial snow is made, the inner working of the Olympique Cable Car or how avalanches are triggered. You can also learn about Catex avalanche blasting and visit the rescue post. It is necessary to sign up in advance before Wednesday 15:00.
 

Yooner Sledging
Friday 7th April, 17:45 – 19:00, 
Saconettes piste
Come and have a go on this light, 
manoeuvrable and very comfortable Yooner sledge. This sledge offers a lot of fun and excitement right from the very first turn. Come and have a go on the floodlit Savonette nursery slope. Suitable for children 5 years and over, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Come and grill your own marshmallows and enjoy a free hot drink after a day of skiing.

From the top of
Verdons to Courchevel 1850 centre; a race with many events including biathlon shooting, toboggan, gymkhana and a water slide this is an event not to miss! A 300m decent including 10 challenges – are you ready for this crazy race? The race is limited to 100 pleases – please register online.
