Snow Report 20th December

20-Dec-2015

Courchevel & La Tania

The Courchevel & La Tania GSMs and Resort & Ski Assistants (RSAs) headed up the mountain on Saturday to test the snow conditions. The snow at the top of 1650 is really good although lower down it is still quite patchy. 1850 has good coverage all round, we've been lapping the blue 'Creux' run all week and it remains one of the best runs in resort.

Inevitably heading over to Val Thorens means the snow is better but most people have the same idea so the pistes are much busier. Our tip is to head to the slopes above Les Menuires where it is a little quieter but the snow is still in good shape.

For Christsmas week we have 41 out of 54 lifts open in the Courchevel valley and 120 out of 156 open across the 3 valleys.

For the best route advice & tips visit our RSA Steve in Courchevel each morning in the tourist office at 9am or in La Tania speak to RSA Liv as she comes round your chalet in the morning or you can also catch her at the bottom of the bubble at 9am.

Val D'Isere

We have seen sunny blue skies throughout the week, with conditions almost like spring skiing!
Average temperatures have been 4 degrees in the centre of town, 1 degree at 2700m and -1/-2 at 3500m.

Snow conditions are icy below 2700m and packed powder above 2700m. We had approximately 2cm of fresh snow on Wednesday evening and currently have 57 out of 78 lifts open across the Espace Killy area.

RSA Greer will be on hand every morning this week at 9am at La Gourmandine cafe, make sure you pop along to get the best tips and advice on where to ski and don't miss the Mountain Challenge on Friday - a great way to explore the mountain whilst having fun with friends!

Happy Chrstmas week from the whole Le Ski Team!
